We all have those quiet moments...
Where we pause in the middle of our day - between emails, between appointments, between roles - and whisper to ourselves:
"How did I get here?"
Not from wonder, but from worry.
"What if they find out I am not really that good?"
"What if I am not as capable as they think I am?"
This quiet ache is what we call impostor syndrome. And if you have felt it, you are not alone and you are not broken.
It usually means you care. Deeply. It means you have worked hard. It means you hold yourself to a high, maybe even impossible, standard. And somewhere along the way, you learned to question your worth instead of resting in it. It is like being a Rose in full bloom and still wondering if you deserve to take up space in the garden.
Today, we begin gently unravelling those old threads. We meet the doubt with tenderness. And one tap at a time, we start to remember: You are real. You belong. You are blooming on purpose.
Tapping Sequence #1: Honouring the Shame
Before You Begin
Take a moment to tune into how you are feeling.
We will use the SUD Scale - Subjective Units of Distress - to measure your current emotional intensity around impostor syndrome.
0 represents you feel calm and connected to the experience, gently aware of these feelings without distress.
10 represents you feel overwhelmed, unworthy or blocked and you are resisting the idea of letting go of impostor syndrome.
There is no right or wrong - just notice where you are. Where would you place yourself on that scale from 0 to 10? Make a mental note of the number. We will check in again after tapping to see what has shifted.
Take a deep breath, ground yourself and begin tapping with me.
Setup Statements: Repeat the three setup statements while gently tapping on the Side of the Hand (SOH) point, saying aloud:
“Even though part of me feels like I am pretending, like I don't truly belong and I feel like a fraud, I choose to love and accept myself just as I am.”
“Even though I have worked so hard and still carry this quiet shame in my heart, I honour these feelings with tenderness. They are part of my story and I accept all of me.”
“Even though there is still a voice inside that whispers I am not good enough, I choose to meet that part with compassion and remind her: you are doing beautifully.”
Tapping Points:
Top of Head (TOH) Point:
Located directly on the crown of the head.
o “This quiet ache of feeling like I don't belong.”
Eyebrow (EB) Point:
Located at the start of the eyebrow, near the bridge of the nose.
o “The weight of pretending...even when I have earned my place.”
Side of Eye (SE) Point:
Located on the bone at the outer corner of the eye.
o “Shame that lingers, even after everything I have done.”
Under Eye (UE) Point:
Located on the bone directly under the eye.
o “A part of me still doubts I am enough.”
Under Nose (UN) Point:
Located between the nose and the upper lip.
o “The old story that tells me I am not truly worthy.”
Chin (CP) Point:
Located in the crease between the lower lip and chin.
o “I see the fear and I honour how far I have come.”
Collarbone (CB) Point:
Located just below the collarbone, about 2.5 cm (1 inch) from the base of the throat.
o “It is safe to let some of this soften now.”
Under the Arm (UA) Point:
Located on the side of the body, about 10 cm (4 inches) below the armpit.
o “I am learning to believe in myself, one breath at a time.”
Take a slow, deep breath in... and let it go gently.
Now, tune back into the feeling of impostor syndrome. Where are you on the SUD scale now, from 0 to 10? Even a small shift is meaningful. You are not forcing anything - just allowing space for change, one tap at a time.
Tapping Sequence #2: Releasing The Old Stories + Inviting Radiance
Re-rate your SUD level, then begin.
Setup Statements: Repeat the three setup statements while gently tapping on the Side of the Hand (SOH) point and saying aloud:
“Even though I have carried these old beliefs that I am a fraud for such a long time, I choose to deeply and completely love and accept myself.”
“Even though I learned to survive by doubting myself, I honour the strength it took to get me there and I love and accept myself.”
“Even though I have been wrapped in these stories that kept me hidden, I now choose to accept myself just as I am - open, real and enough.”
Tapping Points:
Top of Head (TOH) Point:
Located directly on the crown of the head.
o “These old stories I have carried for far too long.”
Eyebrow (EB) Point:
Located at the start of the eyebrow, near the bridge of the nose.
o “The part of me that thought it had to stay hidden to feel safe.”
Side of Eye (SE) Point:
Located on the bone at the outer corner of the eye.
o “I have been hiding the brightest parts of me.”
Under Eye (UE) Point:
Located on the bone directly under the eye.
o “I feel the ache of not being fully seen.”
Under Nose (UN) Point:
Located between the nose and the upper lip.
o “These doubts that have tangled around my light.”
Chin (CP) Point:
Located in the crease between the lower lip and chin.
o “I honour the version of me who thought they had to hide .”
Collarbone (CB) Point:
Located just below the collarbone, about 2.5 cm (1 inch) from the base of the throat.
o “I am gently letting go now, one petal at a time.”
Under the Arm (UA) Point:
Located on the side of the body, about 10 cm (4 inches) below the armpit.
o “I am the Rose. I am allowed to bloom.”
Take another deep breath in...and out. Notice any shifts - sensations in your body, changes in thought or emotion. You are loosening what no longer serves and opening to your inner radiance.
Tapping Sequence #3: Embracing Inner Truth
Check in again with your SUD level (0-10), then begin.
Setup Statements: Repeat the three setup statements while gently tapping on the Side of the Hand (SOH) point and saying aloud:
“Even though I still have doubts sometimes, I choose to meet those parts of me with softness. I accept myself in this tender blossoming.”
“Even though I sometimes forget the way I sparkle, I choose to come home to myself with love and a little grace.”
“Even though I am still learning to trust who I am, I honour the courage it takes to keep showing up and I let that be enough.”
Tapping Points:
Top of Head (TOH) Point:
Located directly on the crown of the head.
o “Some days, the doubt still speaks louder than my truth.”
Eyebrow (EB) Point:
Located at the start of the eyebrow, near the bridge of the nose.
o “I forget the light I carry.”
Side of Eye (SE) Point:
Located on the bone at the outer corner of the eye.
o “Learning to believe in myself, again and again.”
Under Eye (UE) Point:
Located on the bone directly under the eye.
o “It is safe to let this be a gentle unfolding.”
Under Nose (UN) Point:
Located between the nose and the upper lip.
o “I am growing into the truth of who I really am.”
Chin (CP) Point:
Located in the crease between the lower lip and chin.
o “Every step forward is part of my becoming.”
Collarbone (CB) Point:
Located just below the collarbone, about 2.5 cm (1 inch) from the base of the throat.
o “My voice matters. My presence matters.”
Under the Arm (UA) Point:
Located on the side of the body, about 10 cm (4 inches) below the armpit.
o “I am the Rose. I am the bloom. I am enough.”
Now, check in with your SUD level once more.
Even a small shift is a victory.
You are gently unwinding years of conditioned doubt, with compassion, grace and self-respect.
So if the doubt still lingers after the last tap, that is okay. Growth isn’t about rushing to feel better - it is about returning to yourself, layer by layer, breath by breath. Every time you meet that inner voice with compassion, you rewrite an old story. You plant something softer in its place.
Let this be your reminder:
You are not pretending.
You are not an accident.
You are the Rose.
You are the bloom.
You sparkle.
And yes, you are enough.🌹✨
If something in this touched a tender place within you, I invite you to reach out. It would be an honour to walk beside you as you gently release what no longer fits - and come home to the brilliance that is always been yours. ✨
Let us take this journey together -
One breath.
One tap.
One petal at a time. 🌹
