Let’s be honest. You have been told a thousand times to “build confidence.” To fake it till you make it, put yourself out there, or push through fear.

Here is the truth that no one tells you:
Confidence isn’t something you need to create - it is something you already have. It lives beneath the noise, the fear, the conditioning, the years of playing small.
You were born with it.
Yes - that bright-eyed, curious, grounded part of you? She, he or they are still there. And tapping helps you remember who you are.
Why We Forget Our Confidence
Somewhere along the way, you were told you were too much. Or not enough. You learned to shrink, to compare, to hesitate, to second-guess your brilliance.
Confidence doesn’t vanish. It just gets buried under layers of:
Past failures or criticism.
Fear of being judged.
Perfectionism.
Old beliefs that you are not good, smart, thin or pretty enough.
Tapping (Emotional Freedom Techniques - EFT) gently peels back those layers. Not by forcing yourself to “be confident,” but by gently clearing the thorns of fear and disbelief that have grown over your natural trust - so your inner Rose can bloom and sparkle in its own time. 🌹✨
Tapping Sequence 1: Clearing the Fear of Being Seen
Before We Tap: A Moment to Pause
Take a deep, gentle breath. Feel your feet on the floor, your body supported. There’s nothing to fix - notice what is here.
If you have been hiding parts of yourself, shrinking back, or fearing judgment, know this: you are not alone. The fear of being truly seen can run deep - especially for those who have been hurt, criticised, or misunderstood in the past.
Let us begin by tuning in using the SUDs scale (Subjective Units of Distress):
0 = open, safe, free to be fully seen
10 = frozen, afraid, deeply uncomfortable being visible
Where would you place yourself right now? No wrong answer - just a gentle check-in. From this awareness, we tap with compassion.
Setup Statements: Repeat the three setup statements while gently tapping on the Side of the Hand (SOH) point, saying aloud:

"Even though I feel afraid to be truly seen for who I am, I deeply and completely accept how I feel right now."
"Even though a part of me worries what others might think if I fully show up, I honour that fear and I choose to love and accept myself anyway.”
"Even though I have been hiding parts of myself to stay safe, I deeply and completely love and accept myself."
Tapping Through The Points
Top of Head (TOH) Point:
Located directly on the crown of the head.
o "This fear of putting myself out there."
Eyebrow (EB) Point:
Located at the start of the eyebrow, near the bridge of the nose.
o "Part of me feels scared to be seen."
Side of Eye (SE) Point:
Located on the bone at the outer corner of the eye.
o "What if it's not safe to show up fully?"
Under Eye (UE) Point:
Located on the bone directly under the eye.
o "I gently notice this fear in my body."
Under Nose (UN) Point:
Located between the nose and the upper lip.
o "It's okay to take this slowly."
Chin (CP) Point:
Located in the crease between the lower lip and chin.
o "I'm open to the idea that I don't have to hide."
Collarbone (CB) Point:
Located just below the collarbone, about 2.5 cm (1 inch) from the base of the throat.
o "I give myself permission to release the fear from my body, one breath at a time."
Under the Arm (UA) Point:
Located on the side of the body, about 10 cm (4 inches) below the armpit.
o "It is gently becoming safe to be me, one small step at a time."
Take a slow, deep breath. Let your shoulders soften. Check back in with your SUDs number - has it shifted even slightly? If your SUD score hasn't lowered, repeat the tapping sequence a few more times, adjusting the words to reflect how you are feeling now.
Tapping Sequence 2: Reconnecting With Your Inner Confidence
Setup Statements: Repeat the three setup statements while gently tapping on the Side of the Hand (SOH) point, saying aloud:
"Even though I have forgotten how powerful and worthy I am, I deeply and completely accept myself."
"Even though I have been hiding my light and doubting my voice, I choose to love and accept myself anyway."
"Even though I have struggled to believe I am enough, I choose to deeply and completely love and accept myself."
Tapping Through The Points
Top of Head (TOH) Point:
Located directly on the crown of the head.
o "There's a quiet knowing inside me, even if I can't feel it yet."
Eyebrow (EB) Point:
Located at the start of the eyebrow, near the bridge of the nose.
o "It's okay if confidence feels far away right now."
Side of Eye (SE) Point:
Located on the bone at the outer corner of the eye.
o "I've walked through challenges before, gently and bravely."
Under Eye (UE) Point:
Located on the bone directly under the eye.
o "There is wisdom growing inside me from all I've lived through."
Under Nose (UN) Point:
Located between the nose and the upper lip.
o "Maybe it's safe to trust myself a little more today."
Chin (CP) Point:
Located in the crease between the lower lip and chin.
o "I'm softening into the memory of my strength and resilience."
Collarbone (CB) Point:
Located just below the collarbone, about 2.5 cm (1 inch) from the base of the throat.
o "Confidence doesn't need to be forced - it's already inside me."
Under the Arm (UA) Point:
Located on the side of the body, about 10 cm (4 inches) below the armpit.
o "It's safe to remember who I really am, one breath at a time."
Take a deep, grounding breath and release it fully. Now check in with your SUDs score again, from 0 to 10. Notice any shift - even a small decrease shows your nervous system is beginning to relax and respond. You are making real progress.
Confidence isn't about shouting the loudest. It is the calm, steady knowing that you truly belong. It is not about being perfect - it is about showing up fully present. It is not ego - it is living your truth with quiet strength.
