Are You the Strong One Who Secretly Feels Alone?

  • 5 min read

Everyone comes to you.

For advice. For support. For solutions. For leadership.

People see your strength.

Your capability. Your resilience.

What they often don't see is the weight you carry behind the scenes.

The decisions. The responsibility. The pressure.

The moments when you wish someone would notice that you are carrying a lot too.

Many professionals, leaders, business owners and caregivers experience a loneliness that rarely gets talked about.

Not because they are physically alone.

Because they feel emotionally alone.

They have become the supporter.

The helper. The strong one.

Over time, that role can become isolating.

You may find yourself thinking:

"I don't want to burden anyone."

"I should be able to handle this."

"Everyone else needs me."

"Who do I lean on?"

The nervous system was never designed to carry life's challenges in isolation.

Humans are wired for connection.

For being seen.

For feeling safe enough to share what is really happening beneath the surface.

Like a rose, we flourish when the conditions are fertile.

Sunlight. Water. Nourishment. Connection.

Even the strongest rose cannot bloom without support.

🌹 Before You Begin Tapping

Find a quiet space where you can speak aloud without judgment.

Bring your attention to your body.

As you think about feeling unsupported, unseen, or emotionally alone, notice what happens inside.

Perhaps there is heaviness in your chest.

A lump in your throat.

Tension in your shoulders.

Or simply a feeling of sadness.

Now gently rate the intensity of what you are feeling.

On a scale from 0 to 10:

  • 0 being no emotional discomfort

  • 10 being the highest level of intensity

This is your SUD level, which stands for Subjective Units of Distress.

There is no right or wrong number.

Simply notice what feels true for you.

Tapping Sequence One

Feeling Alone while Carrying so Much

Setup Statements

(Side of the Hand Point)

Gently tap on the Side of the Hand Point while repeating each statement aloud.

Allow your awareness to stay with where this aloneness lives in your body.

  2. "Even though I rarely let people see how hard this feels, I deeply and completely love, honour and accept myself."

  3. "Even though part of me feels unsupported, I accept myself and how I am feeling."

A Gentle Reflection

If this blog resonates with you, perhaps the answer is not becoming stronger.

Perhaps the answer is allowing yourself to be supported.

🌹 Like a rose, we are not designed to flourish alone.

We thrive through connection, care, understanding and support.

You do not have to carry everything by yourself.

Like a gentle gardener tending to a rose with patience and care, I am here to walk beside you as you process what you have been holding and reconnect with the support, peace and emotional wellbeing you deserve.

If you are navigating loneliness, leadership pressure, grief, life transitions or emotional overwhelm, I would be honoured to guide and support you. 🌹✨
